The app provides plenty of cool video effects like fast motion, slow motion, time lapse, and more. You can even share the videos you make on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, and Vine.

The Showtime app is a stand-alone streaming service that gives you access to original Showtime series, unlimited movies, documentaries, and boxing events. With the Showtime app, you can catch up on hit shows like Dexter, Weeds, Californication, and more. After the 30-day free trial, you will need to subscribe to Showtime for $10.99 a month.

Tindog, for iOS and Android, is the first social app that aims to connect dog lovers with other dog owners nearby that share the same interests. Similar to Tinder, users can browse through recommended profiles and swipe left for “No” and right for “Yes”. If both users swipe right, then it’s a match and you can organize a place to meet up. Tindog is a great way to make sure your dog will never have to walk in the park alone again.

Sometimes it’s hard to coordinate meet-ups with a large group of friends — even with group messaging. Microsoft’s trying to solve the problem in a new way with an app for iOS and Android called Tossup. The app also has a fun polling system and built-in Yelp integration to make it easier to figure out what to do when you all get together.

With San Diego Comic-Con right around the corner, it’s no surprise that Disney and Lucasfilm launched an official Star Wars app for iOS and Android devices. By downloading the app, Star Wars fans can take and share selfies in iconic costumes, get Star Wars themed weather forecasts, and play sound effects from their favorite characters. The app also provides Star Wars news and blogs from StarWars.com, movie trailers, and behind-the-scenes features.

Are you tired of spending your nights athome by yourself? Free lets your friends know when you’re available to hang out, without sounding totally desperate. Launched earlier this month on iOS, Free users create statuses to show if they’re available to hang out. The app has three different modes including: Going Out, Flexible, or Busy. Whether you’re Going Out or Flexible, the app will send push notifications to friends who live in your current city, letting them know your availability.

Beet is a new social video app for iOS that lets you film short videos and compiles them into an ongoing montage. Each video can be up to six seconds long, and you can add more clips as you record them. You can share your moments with friends and watch updates on your friend’s stories. You can choose to have your profile on private or public, and share videos with friends via email, WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and more. While the app doesn’t offer any editing tools, you’ll be able to browse through your favorite moments.

Do you find it nearly impossible to find the photo you’re looking for in your iPhone’s endless camera roll? PicJoy is a new app that instantly organizes all of your photos, and it will help you to find them much faster. PicJoy uses a complex algorithm that lets you tag images on your iPhone and iCloud accounts, so you can find exactly what you’re looking for, whether it be a photo from Christmas, or one you took a week ago. To get set up with PicJoy, you will need to give PicJoy access to your camera roll. Once that’s done, you can search for images by date, season, weather, holidays, events, landmarks, and places.

BuzzFeed has launched an iOS news app called BuzzFeed News. The app makes it easy to catch up on major news stories from around the world. BuzzFeed News has all of the updates you need, whether you like reading about the world of business, technology, politics, or entertainment.
